Went to HVW last night in Hendo!
Why does “Danzig” Matt have a hairstyle like Shannon Moore’s? Why, as the assistant sound master can he not be hitting us before the show with a little Lawrence Welk? (Look it up)
It’s amazing what a dollar will buy nowadays.
It was good to see Steve Cronic back at the show, I haven’t seen him in several weeks.
Glad to see James Drake in his HVW debut.
Check this out:
Oh yeah, it’s me and my boomstick. I’m keeping up the ol’ eyesights brother….my targets….naughty customers.
When my phone rings at 6.15 in the morning, I assume it has to be something “not good” – something wrong with a family member, a call into work, etc. No, this morning it was your “New Addition”, that anemic Krazy K. Thank you so much for the wake up call…you douche bag. I bet TJ wouldn’t do that.
Going to NWA Anarchy tonight with ER and his “road posse”. It’s Hardcore Hell 2006! I think Jack will be in attendance handing out more quarters.
I got a “form” email from my cousin Andy who lives in Raleigh. He is doing the March of Dimes Walk and is soliciting donations. So if any of you are in the giving mood…give a little, share a little!
Below is the letter in its entirety:
Dear Blake,
Did you know that premature birth is the leading cause of newborn death in the first month of life? It affects half a million babies a year in the United States. Those who survive may have lifelong health problems. And premature births are on the rise — up to 30% since 1981.
That is why I am asking you to support me in March of Dimes WalkAmerica. Because premature birth can happen to any pregnant woman. In nearly half the cases, the causes are unknown. The March of Dimes is leading the way to find answers by supporting research into the causes of premature birth. I am joining the fight, and so can you.
Your support helps fund:
-Research into stress and other factors that may trigger preterm labor.
-Programs to educate pregnant women to recognize the warning signs of preterm labor.
-Tools to help health care providers find better ways to detect women who may be at risk for preterm labor.
Please join in and help fight prematurity. Visit my webpage and sponsor me in the Walk that saves babies!
Thank You!
My personal web page address for donations is …

Our mission is to improve the health of babies by preventing birth defects, premature birth, and infant mortality.

Very glad that Phillip Seymour Hoffman won the Oscar for Capote.
Look here:
Here’s another Austin! Is he as accident prone as his brothers? Stay Tuned!
Still reading Boogie Woogie’s book.
Back to work tomorrow.
Bought new Harry Potter book today.
Does ER ever update his blog anymore?
Finished watching “The Queen’s Sister” from BBC America this afternoon…I have a healthy obsession with the British Royal Family.
Also the photo links on the HVW page have been fixed.
I’m getting ready to leave work in about half an hour. Stopping by the grocery store to pick up some taco stuff and then go home for my make-shift Oscar party. My picks? None of your business, I never reveal my cards. I do hope that Capote wins something though.
Update on the fire – it’s still burning. Every FD in the county is now on it. They have called in apparatus from Spartanburg, Rutherford and Henderson counties also. It will go well into the night.
The bad news is the fire has started back…while I’m typing this, the Tryon Fire Dept, Columbus, and Saluda are all back up there…they have put the “red flag” out! No burning….
Back at work this morning after my day off. Friday night was HVW. I got there about 7.30. Greg Valentine signed autographs. Lodi and Ricky Landell were on the show. It wasn’t announced until mid-week that they were going to be there, so the turn out was not that great. Had a meal at Hannah Flanagan’s on Main Street. It was the first time I had ever been there. Not a bad place, the music wasn’t too loud, the crowd not too rowdy. In bed by 3am! Up at 8.30. Saturday was Ken’s wedding. We got to Cooper Gap Church at 11.30. No sign of the groom. I got my tuxedo, and at 12.15, still no groom. He and Adam finally showed up, and we got started. Very nice ceremony, I was sweating…well, like a whore in church. Notable guests included: The Austins (Shane,Sandy and Tabitha), Sharon S., Thomas Simpson, Mr & Mrs “Romeo” Mark Slain, Sir Jonathan Buffett and the Royal Family, Morbid, Marsha Nolen, David Duke, and music master DJ Ray.
After the wedding, we headed to 221/74 and met the Macks and Ben (from Ben’s Den at www.highvelocitywrestling.com). Went to the Southern Championship Wrestling in Lenoir at the Mulberry Rec Center. Saw plenty of familiar folks. Good to see yawl! Lots of big names on the show. Main event was Jerry Lawler vs. Dusty Rhodes. There was no blood in the match! Wha! Ricky Morton was on the show, I told him it was good to see him back on the road. Kirby and TJ had a great match. They took advantage of their knowledge of each other to present a nice solid match for the crowd.
One of my fellow cameramen got tackled by Buddy Rose Jr at ringside. His camera batteries flew everywhere. It looked nasty, but while he was gathering his wits back about him he punched Buddy. Twice according to Ben. I think I got a picture of the first punch. I would never hit a wrestler during a show, especially at ringside. Of course, this was a different kind of circumstance I suppose but I would be too afraid of having my ass handed to me. The show ran fairly quick. Ended at 11pm. Scooted back home, enjoying crunchwraps from Taco Bell.
ZZZZZZ…so I’m still here at work. I just thought I would mention this, if you have never visited George South’s site you should. I have had the pleasure of getting to know George over the last couple of years, and he is one of the few “out of town” folks who remembers me by name whenever I see him. George always updates his site with a note to the fans at the beginning of every month, like clockwork, and that cannot be said about everyone who keeps a website, so thank you George! Our buddy, Dick Bourne from the Mid-Atlantic Gateway maintains the site and does a great job. This months message includes the “Top 10 Things That Make Me Yell”.
I noticed this morning that some of the photo links are screwed up on the HVW page for 2/24. I will get them fixed as soon as I can.
Going to HVW tonight instead of the rehearsal dinner for the Magnum wedding. Greg Valentine, Lodi and Ricky Landel are scheduled to be there. Should be a good show.
Adam’s Ahmed Johnson figure is still MIA. Where could he be?
Power Pro Wrestling set to begin March 24th in Hendersonville. Looking forward to that.
Sitting at work now. Waiting for the news to get over with, so I can see the Young & the Restless. Drucilla is a bitch, and so is Colleen.
