Hardcore Hell #3

I am taking off work tomorrow to head down to NWA Anarchy for Hardcore Hell 2007.  This will be my third HH.

The lineup: The Devil’s Rejects (Tank, Iceberg, Azarael, Dominous, Shawn Tempers) vs. The NWA Elite (Jeff Lewis, Kory Chavis, David Young, Abomination, Onyx) with their respective managers – “Rev” Dan Wilson and Jeff G. Bailey.

**Should be wild with the fans bringing the weapons. Lots of running around for me.

Double Jeopardy Title match – Champion Chad Parham v. TV Champ Ace Rockwell v. Jeremy V v. Slim J.

**Possibly some high-flying stuff, should be good.

Tag Champs Justice Served (Mikke Free & Jason Justice) w/ Al Getz vs. Urban Assault Squad (Shadow Jackson & Nemesis) w/ Jerry Palmer.

**I still am not accustomed to the Jason Justice name.  4 big guys.

The Hollywood Brunettes (Andrew Alexander & Kyle Matthews) vs. Austin Creed & Hayden Young.

**Alexander=GA’s Ostgard – I suspect a lot of high flying.  Hayden and Creed never disappoint the fans with that.

Adrian Hawkins & Seth Delay vs. Patrick Bentley in a handicap match.

**I understand that Bentley is Crow Sting now or something like that?  I’ll watch the ceiling.

Sal Rinauro vs. Todd Sexton.

**Technical all the way, I’m sure.

8 man tag match –  Phill Shatter & Truitt Fields & Team Macktion vs. Brandon Phoenix, Brodie Ray Chase, Don Matthews and Adam Roberts.

**Not the biggest fan of 8 man tags, unless they have special stipulations such as the before mentioned weapons match.  This should be one to watch though – Team Macktion never fails with my camera, and the rest will be a great mix of youth, power, veteran knowledge and craftiness.

Looks like a packed show.  I’m sure I will be a mess by the end of it.  Will be fun though!

this Subway is bumping…

-AWA Power Pro returned Friday night at Union Pines High School – alma mater of the Hardy Boys, Shannon Moore and Cham Pain.

-Left Spartanburg at 1.30pm, got to the show at 5.40pm after stopping at Charlotte Douglas airport to pick up Chasyn Rance.

-Good to see some folks I have not seen in awhile – The Foxes, Tim & Chuck from www.carolinaindependentwrestling.com , Tre Smith, Ashley Walker, Rob McBride, Jaime Tucker etc.

- Long show!  It was over a little after midnight.  And hot!  Slamfest Bob told me that the H.S. was built in 1965 – so no air conditioning.

- Jeff Hardy and Shannon Moore appeared at the end of the show for autographs and pictures.

- CIW presented their 2006 awards for Announcer, promotion and female wrestler of the year to ER, PPW and Amber O’Neal respectively.

- We saw an accident on I85 on the way back home at 4.30am.  A first for me.

- The battle royal was a lot to keep up with, I don’t think I take good pics of battle royals.  There is always so much going on.  The one at PPW came down to Jake Manning, Christian York, Cham Pain, and KC McKnight.  Very good match between the four.  At one point Cham Pain and Jake went towards the Highspots table while York and McKnight headed in the other direction.  I hope Slamfest got some good pics of what York and KC were doing as I was following Manning and Pain.   The battle royal started with Otto Schwanz and Derek Ryze.  Ryze just had the crap beat out of him.  He was gorilla pressed twice.  Good job.

- Saturday night was CWA in York,SC.  Good time.  York is just a jump down from Spartanburg.  Rode with ER, TJ, Kirby and for the first time “The” Josh.  I can see why Josh is teaming with Michael Frehley – they both talk incessantly.  Match of the night was Team Macktion vs. Jake Manning and KC McKnight.  Main event was also very good with CWA Champ Bobby Houston v. Chris Desales.  Bobby is a great champion for CWA-he connects the title with the fans.  Short haired, evil Christopher Desales is better in my book than long haired hand slapping Chris Guerrero.

-After the show on Friday, I was incredibly hot, tired, and a little irritable – I know I wasn’t the only one in my group.  We had been on the road a long time, and on our feet for a long time.  I’m afraid this may have affected the quality of some of my photos.

-I got my first look at the UWF DVD’s from Gainesville and Chattanooga.  Look great – they even have my name on the back of them!  I was giddy!

No job satisfaction? Not my problem…

A quick post about Dollar General.  I went there this morning to pick up some cleaning supplies: a mop, furniture polish, spray cleaner.  Not only are the aisles the same in every one of these kitsch kettles, but usually there is one employee that is just, pardon my language, bitchy.  She usually has her hair done up in some fashion that was in 10 years ago, has her shirt untucked and a scowl permanently smeared on her face.  Today, I asked the lady about the funiture polish, first she had to turn down her walk-man, which upset her.

“Huh?”

“Furniture polish?

“All we have is right there.”  Turns walk-man back on and thinks about that itch in her crotch.

“Thanks”, I think to myself.

I’m sorry that you don’t like your job at Dollar General.  I’m sorry you have to work on Saturday-I’ve been doing it for twelve years.  Is it a sign of getting older when you complain about stuff like this?  No courtesy whatsoever.  My job is payed for by tax dollars, so I don’t have that privilege.

I’ll be posting some thoughts from the wrestling weekend later.  I did obtain a copy of the poster below at the show last night.  It features my picture of Ty Dillinger and Team Destiny on it.

York, SC for Carolina Wrestling Association tonight.

Back on the bottled smiles…

Back to the vet today with the cat…she has psychogenic dermatitis, which causes her to excessively lick her fur until it is completely gone.  It’s the whole stress/anxiety thing again…so back on the Prozac!

Finished reading Ron Jeremy’s book today.

I found this quote and liked it:

Land of Regal…

I spend a lot of time behind the computer.  During an average day, I usually leap between a few sites:  CNN.com, MySpace.com, Yahoo, Google, and always the Regal Board:  www.tptrash.com/regal

It has become a must visit site for me everday.  I joined in December of 2004, and to date have made 739 posts.  I enjoy dropping in anytime day or night and catching up on something.  I encourage all of you to at least check it out, there is always something interesting going on.  The latest thing is a discussion on NBC Dateline’s popular series “To Catch A Predator.”  Is it entrapment?  You may ask what does this have to do with wrestling?  Nothing, but it shows the type of stuff that we can go off on.

Kudos to Rikki Regal and Robbie Boyette for keeping the board up and running.  I have experience in maintaining a wrestling messageboard – it is no cakewalk.  Aside from a few people on the board who do nothing but stir the pot, and those who are too afraid to register under their own names – it is a generally friendly place.

So again, if you aren’t a member, I encourage you to join.  It’s almost mandatory to keep up with what is going on in the local area – sort of like the unwritten rule that if you wrestle in western NC, uppper GA or upstate SC you have to go and see Chief Jay Eagle!

What’s on it?  Local indy wrestling news/results, WWE, NWA, APW, ring veterans, rookies, one photographer, porn stars, egos, MMA, commentaries, movies, TV, books etc.

Are we wearing the green?

Dog/Cat food recall – kidney failure, deaths!

The next DVD set that I buy will be “Ric Flair and the Four Horsemen.”

Carol Burnett is suing Fox & Family Guy.

Reading Ron Jeremy’s book: “The Hardest (Working) Man in Showbiz.”  Easy read, shouldn’t take long.

I’m watching the “Ninja Warrior” marathon on G4.  Not bad.

What to ask…

So a friend and I visited a psychic yesterday.  Her name is Angela Moore and her website is: http://angela-moore.com/

An extremely friendly lady.  I’m not going to go into much detail about the visit, as it was personal.  I can tell you however, my spirit animals are: owl, moose and frog.  I currently have no negative energies around me and that certain things will happen when I am ready for them.  I know some of you will scoff at a psychic reader.  There were two items she brought up however, that she would not have had any knowledge of.  They concerned some cats and a church in Asheville.  I do plan to go back at some point in time.

Working this weekend, so no shows.

The UWF shows from Gainesville, GA and Chattanooga,TN are available for order from Highspots here: http://www.highspots.com/uwf/index.asp
