Went to APW last night in Spartanburg. I didn’t get to stay for the entire show, but it was good seeing everybody again. There were 10 matches. Very hot inside the building, the effects were evident on the crowd. I left after seeing Ken Magnum vs. Heath Havoc. It had been several months since I have seen Ken in the ring, and I’m happy to see him back in.
It was Ken and I who came to APW in January 2004 to see the show, he talked to the Chief about training, I talked to Jimmy Valiant and the rest is history.
“The Idol” Sonny Landel returned to the American Coliseum last night. He has cut his hair, and looks a little more “settled”. Good to see him.
Bad Breed = Axl & Ian Rotten. The “new” Bad Breed = just bad.
I heard last night that Mike McCloud had to go to the hospital for a possible dislocated shoulder – hope everything is ok there.
I know that I won’t be taking wrestling pictures for the rest of my life, one day I will get to old and stiff to keep up with it and at that point I will just go to the shows and have a good time out in the crowd. I hope that I don’t ever become someone who is so bitter and miserable that I start going to shows just to try and stir up shit. I can stir up that at home online for free…but pay $10 or whatever to come out and do it in front of people…wow. Am I talking about one particular person, yes. They thrive on keeping drama stirred up, and they love being in the midst of it. They will even go as far as making someone who doesn’t deserve it feel like shit. That’s not the kind of fan I ever want to be. A fan like that deserves whatever they get.
They are mad because they realize that their life is never going to get any better, it shows their own self-doubts. The drama and tension belongs in the ring at a wrestling show, not in the crowd. I shouldn’t even be talking about them here…it’s a waste of my time, and they are just a waste.
