The below quote comes from an article written by Eric Alterman entitled “Money for Nothing” which appeared in the March 29, 2010 issue of The Nation magazine. The article talks about the broadcast networks cutting their news divisions. He relates a scene from the 1994 movie The Paper. Robert Duvall’s character says the below, after I read it it made me think of wrestling photographers and I think it is a bit appropriate:
“The people we cover, we move in their world, but it is their world. You can’t keep up. If you try to make this job about the money, you’ll just make yourself miserable. Because we don’t get the money. Never have, never will.”
